Welcome to the Blackwater and Hawley Town Council website. We have an information point at the Blackwater Centre, situated by the Blackwater Bridge on the A30 London Road. We are in Hampshire, close to the Surrey and Berkshire county boundary. You can phone, walk-in or contact us on-line and we will provide you with information or point you in the right direction. We also manage the Hawley Cemetery.

At the Hawley Green our two community leisure halls include classes for Tai Chi, Karate, Kung Fu, LIne Dancing, Diet and Exercise groups, Pilates, Zumba, Tap and a Cardiac rehabilitation class. There is also a Bridge club, U3A and Alternative Therapy Practitioners including Physiotherapy.

Our two community leisure halls are available for activity hire on a one off or on a regular basis and both are licensed on Saturday evenings for private family birthday celebrations, anniversaries, wedding receptions and company parties (not public entertainment type events). We have squash courts and a small gym, sports pitches, an outdoor floodlit hard court amenity for netball. You can also book our facilities including squash on a “phone, pay and then play” basis. Telephone 01276 35411 for details. We also have a Meeting Room for hire that can accommodate up to 30 people and is available from only £10 per hour. There is also 'Free Car Parking' on site for our customers.
 

We have a children’s play area on the Hawley Green and the Hawley Fayre takes place on the second Saturday in July each year on the Hawley Green.

The Hawley Bowling Club are responsible for the outdoor amenity at the leisure complex and the Disabled Action Self Help group (Dash) has a facility there too. The Scouts, Cubs, Brownies and Guides also meet regularly on site. 

At the nearby Hawley Meadows and Shepherd Meadows on the Blackwater River, there are recreational areas for walking and fishing. The Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership maintains these nature and recreational areas.
